How far in advance should you book a Milford Sound cruise?

What sells out is the combination people want: a summer morning, on a specific boat, for four people together. The small boat carries the fewest passengers of the Milford operators, so it fills earliest in relative terms. Coach day trips sell out on the coach seats rather than the boat.
